Epic Playoff Victory

Jets Verse Colts in AFC Wildcard Game of Epic Proportions

January 6th, 2011 No comments

It is personal.

Peyton Manning has to be pressured, hit and sacked. The Jets secondary, running game, O-line, D-line, special teams, wide receivers and the Sanchise have to dig deep and put on their best performance.

This win would be epic. A loss would be an epic failure.

Jets Beat Bills Badly Finish 2010 with 11 Wins and 5 Losses

January 6th, 2011 No comments

A great regular season rapped up for the NY Jets finishing with an impressive blowout performance against the hapless Buffalo Bills. The Jets finish 11-5 there best regular season record in a long, long time.

The win is a positive going into a huge test in the playoffs. The Jets are the 6th seed going against the 3rd seeded Indianapolis Colts. Peyton Manning has home field advantage.

A rematch of the AFC Title game that brought the Jets, who were leading during the 3rd quarter, a few plays away from playing in the Superbowl and making history.

Losing to Atlanta

December 25th, 2009 No comments

The loss to Atlanta by a few points after dominating the entire game hurts.

It is difficult to discuss how everything was set for a Jets playoff opening as contenders lost all around… Miami, Jacksonville, Denver and yet the Jets once again couldn’t take advantage of it. Everyone knew Matt Ryan was going to pass to Tony Gonzalez, and with eight defenders guarding 4 receivers Tony Gonzalez got so open he caught a touchdown in what seemed like infinite space.

Jets need to win out against Indianapolis – yes the undefeated Peyton Manning led Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals and get help. Lots of help. Possible, but not likely. We needed to beat Atlanta at Home.

Merry Christmas to all of Football Jets Nation! May peace be with us always.

Wish List for Santa: Jets take it to the Colts 34-14.

2009 NFL Season Predictions

September 10th, 2009 No comments

2009 NFL season starts today with the defending Superbowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers playing the Tennessee Titans. The New York Football Jets open their season on Sunday at the Houston Texans.

Football Jets would like to make some fearless predictions that hopefully won’t be so wrong I will still have some credibility left after the season.

In the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts appear to be the teams on top of their respective divisions come playoff time. For the wild card, the New York Jets will join the Tennessee Titans.

In the NFC, the New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, and the New Orleans Saints are my season predictions for winning their respective divisions. Joining them in the playoffs I predict will be wild card teams the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears.

That leaves out some serious contenders like the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins.

Playoff predictions are tough, but lets go with the San Diego Chargers upsetting the Pittsburgh Steelers after beating the New England Patriots and the New York Jets rolling over the Indianapolis Colts after beating the Tennessee Titans. The New York Jets would have to win another difficult road game in San Diego, but beating the Chargers in the playoffs is something the Jets have done before.

In the NFC, the New York Giants take out the Arizona Cardinals before losing to the Minnesota Vikings. The New Orleans Saints offense takes out the Chicago Bears defense and then shocks the world with a win in Philadelphia. The Vikings prove to strong for the Saints on both sides of the ball and advance to the Superbowl.

Minnesota Vikings verse the New York Jets. In an amazing year for rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez, the New York Jets somehow pull out a victory over Brett Favre and company in one of the greatest Superbowls in history.
