In a Playoff Win for the Ages

Jets Defeat Bengals.

The New York Jets, who were way outside looking into the playoffs just a few weeks ago have now become the NFL Cinderella.

Total Team Effort. Sanchise Delivered. Defense Delivered. Running Game, Special Teams and Coaches Delivered. Dustin Keller Played Great. How about that for playoff experience for Mark Sanchez.

This win needs to be celebrated.

Love Rex Ryan. Before the game, the New York Jets coach did an indirect Joe Namath type guarantee by passing out a practice/off day schedule to the entire team through February 9, 2010 – the day of the Superbowl Parade.

Cincinnati Bengals verse New York Jets

For one it means little…For the other it means everything.

Sunday night thanks to flex scheduling.

Ochocinco is calling out possibly the All Pro defensive back Revis. But it is not only Revis who needs to have a good game. This is the last football game ever to be played at Giants Stadium. Let’s send it off with a bang. Making the playoffs would propel Jets fans’ hope to new heights for the near and foreseeable future. The Jets have been the beneficiaries of a lot of lucky things happening, but we need to finish it off by taking advantage of this chance.

Rush the ball. Play defense. Hope they pull their starters early.

Losing to Atlanta

The loss to Atlanta by a few points after dominating the entire game hurts.

It is difficult to discuss how everything was set for a Jets playoff opening as contenders lost all around… Miami, Jacksonville, Denver and yet the Jets once again couldn’t take advantage of it. Everyone knew Matt Ryan was going to pass to Tony Gonzalez, and with eight defenders guarding 4 receivers Tony Gonzalez got so open he caught a touchdown in what seemed like infinite space.

Jets need to win out against Indianapolis – yes the undefeated Peyton Manning led Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals and get help. Lots of help. Possible, but not likely. We needed to beat Atlanta at Home.

Merry Christmas to all of Football Jets Nation! May peace be with us always.

Wish List for Santa: Jets take it to the Colts 34-14.
