New York Jets Play in Giants Stadium

Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ is the home of the New York Jets. The New York Jets moved to Giants Stadium in 1984 after leaving Shea Stadium in Queens, NY. As the name implies, Giants Stadium is also the home to the NY Giants. Giants Stadium hosts many sold out concerts and high profile sporting events every year.

When the New York Jets first moved into Giants Stadium it took awhile for attendance to reach capacity level because season ticket holders were living in New York City and didn’t commute to New Jersey. However, after a few seasons the New York Jets developed a committed fan base that lived closer to the stadium and now the Jets regularly play their games in front of sell out crowds.

Giant Stadium will soon give way to a new stadium that is planned. Like Giants Stadium the new stadium will also be shared by the Jets and Giants. The big difference is that the new stadium will have all the modern state-of-the-art amenities that will make it one of the best stadiums in the entire National Football League.
