    The rookie running back Shonn Greene was likely going to be used as part of the threesome of running backs the Jets have with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington. However, the preseason was rough on Shonn Green as he suffered several injuries. Against Baltimore in the preseason Shonn Green frist carry caused cartilage damage in his ribs according to Head Coach Rex Ryan. The injury shut Shonn Green down for the rest of the preseason and added to his already injured sprained right ankle that he had been dealing with most of training camp.

    Expect that when Shonn Green gets healthy this season the Jets will use him along with the other running backs. Though expect his break out season to come in a year or two.
